About

I am fascinated by the idea that we can never touch without being touched. My work acts as a stand-in for my physical body and its presence by sifting through and breaking down basic human interactions. Understanding that no one experiences anything in the exact same way.

I work with materials such as glass and ceramics for their inherent physical qualities, such as fragility, but also strength, transparency, and optics. Whether someone wears eye glasses or drinks from a mug each morning, these familiarities and associations with the materials add meaning to my work. I strive to make installations that challenge viewers to consider their bodies, and the bodies and experiences of the people around them.
